Lions 50th YearIn 1958, Lions Baseball Club was founded by ten 15 year old boys with a passion for the game. They grew up together and came from various Junior Baseball Clubs participating in the local competition, and were assisted in their inaugural year by menbers of the "Giants" A grade Baseball Club. In the initial year great support was given to the Club by the parents of the players and other supportters who worked in fund raising campaigns to help in establishing the Club.

The Club was formed in 1958, two years after baseball was officially plated on the Central Coast and is one of the oldest Clubs still participating on the coast.

Lions First TeamThe original team members were:

Barry Howard
Bob Scott
Ted Albury
Ian Milne
Barry Olsen
Bill Vickery
John Cooke
Peter Robson
Phillip McBride
Noel Gosper

The coach for that year was Tom Watson with Les Marks and Jack Scott being the managers.
